Quick answer

Contactless, chip-and-PIN and a phone wallet can all use the card acceptance rail. If tapping fails, insert the card and follow the terminal instructions. A QR payment is a different rail and needs a compatible QR app.

1. What the terminal is asking for

A contactless payment sends card credentials by tap. Chip-and-PIN reads the physical card and may request the PIN. A mobile wallet presents a tokenised version of an eligible card. All three still depend on the merchant's card terminal, card network and issuer approval.

A merchant QR stand is not a contactless terminal. Opening Apple Pay or Google Pay will not turn an unsupported QR code into a card payment.

2. If the first method fails

What happensNext check
Tap declinedInsert chip and use PIN if requested
Chip declinedCheck balance, limits, card controls and issuer message
Phone wallet unavailableUse the physical card or another payment rail
QR not recognisedDo not send an improvised transfer; use card or cash

3. Terminal safety

  • Keep the card in sight.
  • Read the currency and amount before approval.
  • Cover the keypad when entering a PIN.
  • Reject unexpected links or QR screenshots.
  • Keep the receipt until the transaction posts.

Where BKJ Card fits

BKJ Card is a stablecoin-funded card route, separate from BKJ QR Payment. The official card page describes USDT and USDC top-ups on supported networks, conversion for card spending, virtual and physical card options, transaction records and ATM access for the physical-card route. Registration and KYC approval are required.

Card form, issuing availability, supported networks, ATM access, limits and fees can vary. Confirm them in the official App and current product page for your account and location. A card-network logo or contactless terminal does not guarantee that every transaction will be approved.

Final recommendation

Treat card, mobile-wallet and QR acceptance as separate questions. A practical setup keeps the physical card available and adds compatible QR only where the app confirms the merchant flow.

This guide provides general payment information, not financial, legal or tax advice. Product availability, fees, exchange rates, limits and local rules can change. Confirm the merchant, currency, amount and final fee before authorising a transaction.
